The Covid-19 has changed the way we work. In just a couple of weeks everyone who could do it, switched over to working from home (WFH). At the moment of this writing (a little over a year into the pandemic), many of us are, in some capacity, still working remotely.

It’s unclear how the work-life will change in the future, but chances are that more flexible arrangements will be available. In other words, WFH is likely going to be the skill of the future. And just like any other skill, it can be learned.

WFH has many benefits:

  • flexibility
  • time and money saved on commute
  • the ability to run quick errands
  • higher autonomy

However, there are also downsides:

  • isolation
  • the lack of accountability
  • potentially more distractions

While WFH, the entire responsibility is on you to organize your hours, days, and weeks. The focus, in particular, can be a challenge because most of us associate our homes with relaxation rather than with focus.
