Jake, great post and lovely illustrations. Funny enough, I did this exact thing sometime ago inspired by Cal Newport’s Digital Minimalism. I had no social media or news apps on my phone for a while and just like it was for you, email was the hardest part, but likely the most important, because if you have one attention-sucking venue, guess what, you are gonna use it like CRAZY! The whole experience is freeing and not that inconvenient at all. We were only culturally conditioned that we need all of those apps for our essential functioning which is not true.
