Wendy, that is a terrific question and I am not sure if I have a super-specific answer. One thing you can do in those idel moments is to take a piece of paper and doodle or jot down ideas, strategize, or write lists. Technically, it would still be context switching, but I think that is OK. Jumping on other digital tasks would probably be more disruptive, because our minds jump around much more when we are online. This way, you can still have some output but your mind will be calmer. I hope this helps.
